According to the Daily Star, The Amazing
Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield has been offered a multi-million dollar deal to
play Spidey until 2020.
"The pair went house hunting to celebrate a multi-million dollar deal
he has been offered that could see him playing the web-throwing superhero until
2020."
The news site also says that the actor is set to
appear in two more film to be released in 2015 and 2016.
"A senior source at Columbia Pictures, which jointly owns the
franchise with Marvel Entertainment, said: “Andrew is already contracted to
make two more films for release in 2015 and 2016."
The site doesn't specify if it's another
Spider-Man movie or the project the actor is doing with Martin Scorsese, but
considering that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is set to be released in 2016 and since
The Sinister Six spin-off might start production in early 2015, we can assume
that it will be the Martin Scorsese picture. Unless the schedule has been
altered, and in that case we might hear something new in coming months.
The site also says that he has been tapped for
four other movies, and that the job is his for as long as he chooses.
“But we are looking to tie him to the role for as many as a further four
pictures given the huge success the franchise is enjoying."
“The part is pretty much his for as long as he chooses.”
"He is even being offered a box office profit-sharing deal to stay in
the Spidey suit for another six years."
