Well this is going nowhere. Less than
24 hours after negotiations between director Adam McKay and Marvel Studios started,
the director bows out from the negotiations to replace Edgar Wright in Ant-Man.
According to THR, "the decision is said to be his alone."
Maybe the director wasn't allowed
to put his input on the script, or he wasn't all that keen to work with someone
else's script? (just speculating), regardless, this is a tough time for Marvel,
who day by day sees its perfectly align cinematic plan get screwed. What Marvel
needs right now is not a filmmaker, what it needs is a drone, someone that does
what's on the script without asking to many questions or having too many ideas, otherwise the studio won't meet it's July, 17th
2015 release date. Or just don't do the movie.
Ant-Man doesn't need to be a
billion dollar box office hit, set your hopes for half of that and you're in the
clear, Marvel.
