Back in February, director Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe:
Retaliation) announced that he had stepped down from the Masters of the
Universe big screen reboot. After the announcement Kick-Ass 2 director, Jeff
Wadlow was rumored to be circling the project, but nothing official. Now
however, it seems that the director is on board to rewrite the script
originally penned by Terry Rosso (The Lone Ranger).
In addition to writing the new script, the Wadlow is also
alongside Another Earth and I Origins director Mike Cahill being eyed to helm
the adaptation of the very much beloved franchise.
Wadlow was previously tapped to pen and possibly
direct Marvel's X-Force adaptation, but it's unclear which project is the next
for the director.
