Justice League Update: Possible 2017 Release Date And Matt Damon Being Eyed For Aquaman?

Following the news that Zack Snyder had been chosen to helm the Justice League movie, and the LR and THR are now saying that we should expect to see the follow-up to Batman vs. Superman on May 5th, 2017, which makes sense considering the rumors that Snyder will shoot both Batman vs. Superman and Justice League back to back. But the LR points out that we should takes this piece of news with a grain of salt as any possible confirmation should only arrive on Comic-Con.

On another note, The Wrap says that Matt Damon is rumored to being sought out to play what many assumed would be Jason Momoa's  role in the film, Aquaman.

"One casting rumor that has been circulating around Hollywood for more than a year is that Affleck's close friend and collaborator Matt Damon is being sought to play Aquaman, though to be fair, Jason Momoa has also been rumored for that role (among others), and he is expected to appear in “Batman vs. Superman” in some unknown capacity."

Bad Ass Digest also says that:

"It's not yet clear if Aquaman will be joining them, but I've heard that early drafts of the script did feature the King of Atlantis, reimagined as more of a barbarian."
