Last week we reported that Universal Pictures and Legendary were moving ahead with the big screen adaptation of the 70's tv series Kung Fu, and today according to THR, director Baz Luhrmann is in talks to helm it.
In the original series starred David Carradine as a
monk travelling across America looking for his father and kicking some serious
ass along the way.
Bill Paxton was
previously attached to helm John McLaughlin's script, but dropped the project.
Other writers like Cory Goodman (Priest) and Rich Wilkes (Marvel's Iron Fist
for Netflix) were also attached at one point but have departed from the project.
