A few years ago director Bryan Singer was eyeing to
helm the adaptation of the 1970s cult series Battlestar Galactica with John
Orloff (Anonymous). Since then development in the feature as quiet down and
the director has moved on to direct giants in Jack the Giant Slayer and mutants
in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but now interest might have picked up as according
to Variety, Universal as brought in Jack Plagen (Transcendence) to write the
screenplay.
At this time we cannot say if bringing Plagen in as a
writer is good or not as he only has Transcendence in his back pocket. The
creator of the original series Glen Larson is still on board to produce.
