Despite its box office floppiness, the 2012 Dredd 3D starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headley and Wood Harris made its way into becoming an almost cult classic in the DVD and Blu-ray circuit. At the time there wasn’t much of a hope for a sequel but now it seems that there is a chance, at least according to Urban.
Speaking at the Destination Star
Trek convention in Frankfurt, Germany, the actor said that there have been some
talks with writer Alex Garland and Lionsgate about making a sequel.
About a year ago Urban expressed
his desire in making a sequel and asked fans to make their voices be heard.
I liked the 2012 version of
Dredd, with the exception of the drugs visual effects/slow motion, which seemed
too deliberate for the 3D. What about you?
