In a recent interview to The
Huffington Post about his role in Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel,
actor Jeff Goldblum was asked if he wanted or not to return to the Jurassic
Park franchise with the upcoming Jurassic World. Well the actor says that he
wasn’t asked to be a part of this new installment, the same way he wasn’t called
to be part of Jurassic Park III, and adds that he is happy with the first two films
of the franchise, where he appears as Dr. Ian Malcom.
But Jurassic World isn’t the only
property of which Goldblum was part of and is now being rebooted. In addition
to Jurassic World, director Roland Emmerich has been teasing fans with an
Independence Day sequel. In the interview the actor confirms that he is indeed
going to return as David Levinson.
"Yeah, they've talked to me
about it and I've talked to them about it and they're excited and I'm anxious
and eager to see -- I haven't read anything -- what they cook up. You know, I
think they're trying to put it together."
