Since its announcement at the
2013 SDCC, Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman has certainly been the target of a
lot of rumors and speculation and here is the latest round. According to the LR,
a trusted source claims that the untitled DC film that Dwayne Johnson will be
working will be indeed the Justice League, and that it is going to be shoot in
2014 right after Batman vs. Superman, because of the actors schedules and
because Batman vs. Superman will end with a massive tease that leads to Justice
League, so it makes sense that the studio is keen on deliver the second film
while the first one is still very much alive in people minds.
As usual we and LR say that you
should take this with a grain of salt, because unless there is an official statement
confirming it, this just all speculation.
But in the off chance that it is
true, it would certainly explain the list of characters that have been thrown
out there, like Nightwing, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman,
etc… which could indicate a massive cameo at the end of Batman vs. Superman,
therefor teasing the Justice League film.
Lately there have been some talks
regarding the appearances of Jason Momoa as Doomsday and Lost star Josh
Holloway as a possible Aquaman. Regarding Momoa, he says that no it’s just rumors;
he won’t be showing up for Batman vs. Superman.
“It’s just rumors. I want to say
something amazing, but I can’t comment on rumors. It’s flattering. I’m not
involved in it.”
As for Holloway, it seems unlikely;
despite the rumors that he is being considered for a role in BvS, since he just
premiered the most watched tv premiered of the season with CBS’ Intelligence
and is bound to be busy for the next quite some time.
As production on BvS shifts into
higher gears expect to hear official confirmations sooner rather than later
about who will be joining Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot and who will
they be playing.
