Paramount And Disney Strike A Deal For Indiana Jones Franchise

When Disney bought LucasFilm, there were some issues with the Indiana Jones franchise, since Paramount held the distribution rights of the first four films. Well, now that the legal procedures are over, Disney announced that they have acquired the distribution and marketing rights to all future Indy films, alongside what had previously been accorded at the time Disney bought LucasFilm.

Per Variety, Paramount is still responsible for the distribution of the previous four movies and will have some financial gain from future Indiana Jones movies.

At this point there aren’t any news regarding a possible fifth Indy film, probably because of the debauchery that was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but according to Harrison Ford, he would do another film “in a New York minute”.
