Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures are currently developing a feature film reboot of the Terminator franchise, to be directed by Thor: The Dark World’s Alan Taylor, but it seems that the apocalyptic story of Man vs. Machine isn’t going to be strict to the big screem, apparently a new tv show is being developed as well. The new show will be written by Thor and X-Men: First Class scribes Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller and will directly tie in with the movie, which will be the first in a new trilogy and will open on July 1st, 2015.
According to THR, “The TV series will follow a
critical moment from the first Terminator film (1984) and, where the film’s
story goes one way, the upcoming series will take the same moment in a
completely different direction. As the rebooted film trilogy and the new TV
series progress, the two narratives will intersect with each other in some
surprising and dramatic ways.”
