1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is one of those movies that became almost instant cult classics the moment they got out. The first film feature Keanu Reeves (Ted), Alex Winter (Bill) and George Carlin (Rufus). A second film was made 1991 titled Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, but failed in comparison.
In an recent interview to Access Hollywood, Reeves
gave an update on the project status and explained that the major problem right
now is the budget.
“It needs to be adapted because right now, it would
cost $400 million to make."
400million? Why? It’s a movie with about idiot time
traveling teenagers. Regardless, Reeves then explained what the movie would be
about:
“There’s a rift in the universe and there’s all sorts
of creatures.”
So a bigger scope then the previous two films. Reeves
then shared his thoughts on the project:
“That would be surreal. The script is funny and
there’s a story to tell there, so there are efforts being made to try and
continue that journey.”
The teenager in me would like to see that movie, but
the grownup is saying Just let it go.
