One of the best written comic books of all time Sandman is getting closer and closer to coming to the big screen. An adaptation of Neil Gaiman's comic book series Sandman has been tried but never accomplished, but now it seems that Warner Bros. has taken a liking to is being developed and a movie might be closer than we thought.
Sandman
was launched in 1989 and revolves around Morpheus, who is the
embodiment of dreams. Captured and held captive for 70 years, he is
released and finds his kingdom falling apart.
It
seems that a new script is being developed by none other then Man of
Steel scribe David S. Goyer with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt to star
as Morpheus.
At
this point it's too early to tell if the project will go any further
but not only was Man of Steel a huge success, writer David S. Goyer
recently sign on a three year deal with WB to write Batman vs.
Superman, Justice League and possibly direct other properties,
whether they be comic book based or not.
