Some
months ago we reported that director Stephen Frears was not only set to direct
but be the first to do so, a film based on the controversial seven time winner
of the Tour the France, Lance Armstrong. After this announcement, it was
reported that Ben Foster would be the one playing the disgraced cyclist and “hero”.
Now comes news of more casting and an image of Foster looking the part.
The
film will focus on “Armstrong’s career from his cancer ordeal to the scandal
that brought him down.”
According
to Empire, Chris O’Dowd is set to star as the Irish sports journalist, David
Walsh, who was one of the first to suspect Armstrong’s doping scheme. Joining
him is Jesse Plemons and Guillaume Canet in unknown roles.
