Comic Book Legend Stan Lee Talks About His Least Favorites Marvel Movies & Some News on the Marvel Universe

Back in 2012, during a Fan Expo in Canada, comic book legend Stan Lee talked about his characters jumping from the pages of comic books to the big screen. He said that he liked The Avengers, but had some problems with other movies, that were made before Marvel toke charge and started making their own movies.

“I would have liked the Hulk to be smaller in the first two movies, and I didn't like the way Doctor Doom was portrayed in Fantastic Four. Now with Daredevil, they just wrote the whole thing wrong. They made him too tragic. That's not the way I wrote him. I think they're working on a new Daredevil movie and it will be better, so hold your judgment until then.

But not everything is bad news, he then talks about some of the Marvel superheroes he would like to seeup on the big screen.

“Deadpool is such a popular character, I'd be surprised if he wasn't in his own movie in the near future, or introduced in another movie first. They're thinking about a Doctor Strange movie, a Black Panther movie, an Ant-Man movie—there's just so many ideas in the works right now at Marvel!”

Well, we have some breaking news to give to Mr. Lee, The Ant-Man movie is coming along very nicely, it is still in the early stages of production, but it’s coming along. The test footage was removed from the web (sorry).

The Daredevil movie got scrapped, but FOX is letting the rights revert back to Marvel, so maybe in the future, who knows (just don’t make the same crap as last time, please?)

The Black Panther is an incognito, no one knows.

The Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, according to the latest news it’s on the way.

As for Deadpool, there are some issues. According to actor Ryan Reynolds;

“It’s up to the studio

“The studio I think is reluctant to pull the trigger on such a hard Rated-R script. Then the guys who wrote it and the producers won’t make it unless it’s that hard and, you know, raunchy.

Ryan Reynolds also said, that because of the not very well received and high budget X-Men Origins: Wolverine, that the budget for this incarnation of Deadpool needed to be;

“down enough where you can afford to take big risks and do most things that superhero movies can’t do yet.”

The movie already has a script and a director, so what the hell are they waiting for? DO THE DAM MOVIE
