Godzilla - Man in a suit? and movie still

Will there be a man inside a Godzilla suit?

Well if you believe the rumours, yes. Lately there has been an rumour in Hollywood, that TOHO studios (based in Japan), that have the rights to the Godzilla franchise (as well to the Akira Kurosawa films) have asked Legendary Pictures, the studio that is remaking Godzilla to use suitmation at some point in the movie and not just CGI effects. Because Gareth Edwards is basing his Godzilla on the TOHO original and not the 1998 TriStar one, it's possible that TOHO wants to keep some aspects of the iconic Godzilla in this new adaptation. Although this rumour is yet unconfirmed and there is no offical statement from either Gareth Edwaeds, Legendary Pictures or TOHO Studios about using a man in a suit in the 2014 Godzilla reboot. To some of the pratical effects guys, if the rumour would to found true it would bring tears to their eyes, since pratical effects and in particular suitmation is rarely used in today big blockbusters movies, being than substituted  by CGI, but some may argue that having a actor inside a suit, destroying the city adds a more realistic touch to the all movie.
The movie directed by Gareth Edwards, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Savages and Kick-Ass 2), Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins, The Last Samurai and Inception), Elizabeth Olsen (Silent House), Juliette Binoche (Trois couleurs: Bleu, The English Patient and Cosmopolis), David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum , Lincoln, L.A. Confidential, Good Night, and Good Luck and Alphas) and Bryan Cranston (Argo, Drive, Breaking Bad and Total Recall) is schedule to arrive at theaters  may of next year.

Meanwhile here is a still from the movie, just to show just what a terrifying and powerful force of nature godzilla is.
