Troubles in Old Detroit - Robocop

Is the remake of Robocop falling apart?

Well yes and no, there is no doubt that the movie will premiere, if it's not postpone yet again, but the problems surrounding the project are too big to be ignored, making this remake of Robocop one of the most antecipated movies of next year. When people got hold of news that a remake of Robocop was a possibility, they got really excited, but just before production began the script for the movie got highly critical reviews, then when the production began fans of the original Robocop got their hearts torn out because of the look of their beloved character, it was not a metalic full body suit with only an opening for the mouth, but a full body suit made of something that resembles the Dark Knight suit with a opening for the mouth and right hand (probabily to do that gun/holster trick). Later on there was a rumour that the director, Jose Padhila was unhappy with the project experience (try to be shackled to something that you don't like and see how well it turns out). After the rumour of the unhappiness of the director, the movie which was supposed to come out this summer on august of this year saw its released date pushed to give way its spot to another sc-fi movie from the same studio, Elysium starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster and directed by Neill Blomkamp that also directed District 9. Then another problem appeared, this time another rumour involving a goup of websites were ordered to remove all content (pictures) they had from the movie since they had been very critical of the film in more than one way. And as if all this piles of problems and rumours weren't enough a new one (which i'm not sure if it's a problem, the economy or just a strategy to help the film or even a marketing strategy) appeared, which is that every single thing from the movie is for sale, props and set decoration.
So the Robocop remake, starring Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Ehle, Abbie Cornish, Joel Kinnaman, Jay Baruchel, Michael Keaton, Jackie Earle Haley and Michael Kenneth Williams, among others  is scheduled to arrive at theaters on fabruary of 2014.
