Former mixed martial arts and WWE superstar Dave Bautista will play the role of Drax the Destroyer. In the Marvel World Drax is killed by Thanos and resurrected by Kronos in a super powered body.
Bautista has been sneaking into acting with such roles as Aldar in Smallville, T.I. in Chuck, Ray in House of the Rising Sun, Argomael in The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption, Brass Body in The Man with the Iron Fists and he will be entering in the 2014 movie Riddick as Diaz.
