Falling Water Renewed For A Second Season

Falling Water has been picked for an additional season, announced the USA Network. Furthermore, Rémi Aubuchon ("Falling Skies") is set to take over as the series new showrunner.

Starring Lizzie Brochere ("American Horror Story: Asylum"), Will Yun Lee ("Hawaii 5-0"), and David Ajala ("Fast & Furious 6"), the mind-bending thriller tells the story of three unrelated people, who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. Each of them is on a mysterious and highly personal quest – one is searching for his missing girlfriend, one is searching for a lost child, one is looking to cure his catatonic mother – and it is the clues found in their collective dream that come to guide them. The deeper they dig, though, the more they come to realize that their missions touch on stakes that are much larger than their individual agendas. That the visions found in their common dream just might hold the key to the fate of the world.

"Falling Water turns the traditional dramatic thriller on its head by tapping into the power of something we all have access to:  dreams," said Chris McCumber, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment networks president.  "We look forward to continuing this bold, completely unique story."

Meanwhile Jeff Wachtel, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment chief creative officer added, "with its striking visuals and stylized narrative, Falling Water creates a world where dreams have a dramatic impact on reality. Gale and Blake executed a thought-provoking and resonant first season.  We’re delighted to welcome Rémi to the creative team – and we can’t wait to see where he takes us next."

Falling Water was created by Blake Masters ("Brotherhood") and the late Henry Bromwell ("Homeland"), whom are credited as executive producers along with The Walking Dead's Gale Ann Hurd, and 28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.
