Wreck-It Ralph Sequel Gets A (Long) Title

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 is the official title Disney has given to the upcoming sequel to their 2012 Oscar nominated animation Wreck-It Ralph.

Directed by Rich Moore, who recently won an Oscar for Zootopia, and Phil Johnston, the film is schedule to open in theaters on March 9, 2018.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 has a returning voice cast that includes John C. Reilly as Ralph, Sarah Silverman as Vanellope, and Jane Lynch as Calhoun.

Ralph Breaks the Internet release date means Disney won't have an animation coming out this year, however, their sister company Pixar will release two films this year, and they are Coco and Cars 3.

Opening in theaters on June 16, Cars 3 sees the return of Larry the Cable Guy, Owen Wilson, and Bonnie Hunt to their respective roles. Kerry Washington, Armie Hammer, and Nathan Fillion are among the new cast members.

Coco, which centers on Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration, will be Pixar's first original film since the Oscar-winning Inside Out in 2015. Directed by Lee Unkrich, the movie, which opens November 22, stars newcomer Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Renee Victor.
