Universal
Pictures has set a release date to Ben Young's ("Hounds of Love") upcoming
sci-fi thriller Extinction.
Starring
Michael Peña ("Marvel's Ant-Man") as a man suffering from recurring
nightmares about losing his family, who in the aftermath of an alien invasion must
find strength in order to keep them safe, the thriller has been scheduled to
open in theaters on January 26, 2018.
Written
by Eric Heisserer ("Arrival"), Brad Kane ("Black Sails"),
and Spenser Cohen ("Stay"), Extinction also stars Masters of Sex's
Lizzy Caplan.
Peña
will next be seen in Chips, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, My Little Pony: The Movie,
Horse Soldiers, and A Wrinkle in Time.
