Universal Pictures
has released the first trailer for Jordan Peele's feature film directorial debut, the freaky horror thriller (yes!)
Get Out.
In the ethnic-charged
film, when Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) travels with his white girlfriend Rose (Allison
Williams) for a weekend getaway to meet her parents, he becomes trapped as the
real and much more sinister reason behind the invitation becomes apparent.
Also starring
Catherine Keener ("Captain Phillips"), Bradley Whitford ("The
West Wing"), Caleb Landry Jones ("X-Men: First Class"), Milton
"Lil Rel" Howery ("The Carmichael Show"), Marcus Henderson
("Pete's Dragon"), Betty Gabriel ("The Purge: Election Year"),
and Keith Stanfield ("Straight Outta Compton"), Get Out opens in
theaters on February of 2017.
Now that Chris
(Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls),
have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a
weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener, Captain Phillips) and
Dean (Bradley Whitford, The Cabin in the Woods). At first, Chris reads the
family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their
daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of
increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have
never imagined.
