Warner Bros. has unveiled a series of character posters for David Yates' upcoming Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The posters include a look at Eddie Redmayne's Newt
Scamander, Carmen Ejogo's MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of
America) President Seraphina Picquery, Samantha Morton's No-Maj fanatic Mary
Lou Barebone, her son Credence Barebone played by Ezra Miller, and Ron
Perlman's goblin Gnarlack.
In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the
wizarding world’s top magizoologist Newt Scamander stops in New York
following his travels to find, document, and protect rare and endangered
magical creatures that he stores in his magical briefcase. As you may expect
the briefcase opens and some of the creatures escape threatening not only the
lives of New Yorkers but also the balance between wizards and the No-Maj
(American Muggles).
From a script written by J.K. Rowling, Fantastic
Beasts and Where to Find Them also stars Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Collin
Farrell, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, and Faith Wood-Blagrove.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in
theaters on November 18.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander
has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary
array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief
stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj
(American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of
some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the
wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
