Netflix
has announced the launch date for their fourth original Marvel series Iron
Fist, and has released a first-look image featuring the titular hero, played by
Game of Thrones' alum Finn Jones, in action.
In the series, Daniel Rand (Jones), a billionaire martial arts expert and
Chi master returns to New York City after being missing for years. There he
fights against the criminal element corrupting the city with his incredible
kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Also starring Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Tom Pelphrey as
Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and David Wenham as Harold
Meachum, the 13 one-hour episodes drama will be launched to all available territories
on March 17, 2017.
Marvel's
Iron Fist follows Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, and Marvel's Luke Cage in Netflix's build-up
to Marvel's The Defenders.
