Marvel Studios hints
at a possible major plot twist in this new promo for Scott Derrickson's highly
anticipated Doctor Strange.
In the video, which
is for the most part played backwards, Marvel suggests that Benedict
Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme has a gem up his sleeve when fighting Mads
Mikkelsen's Kaecilius. This seems to substantiate the rumors that the film will
indeed introduce the Time Stone, one of two (the other being the Soul Stone)
remaining Infinity Stones yet to be introduced in the MCU.
Marvel's Doctor Strange centers on a talented neurosurgeon called Stephen Strange who, after a tragic
car accident, must put his ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of
mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village,
Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies
beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to
protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
Opening in theaters on November 4, Marvel's Doctor Strange stars Rachel
McAdams, Benedict Wong, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael
Stuhlbarg, Amy Landecker, Benjamin Bratt, and Scott Adkins.

From Marvel comes “Doctor
Strange,” the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life
changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands.
When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and
hope, in an unlikely place—a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly
learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a
battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long
Strange—armed with newly acquired magical powers—is forced to choose whether to
return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the
world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his
dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel’s “Doctor
Strange” opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016.
