Sony has released a cataclysmic new trailer for Ron Howard's
next film, Inferno. Based on Dan Brown's book of the same name, Inferno stars
Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, a famous symbologist who wakes up with
amnesia in an Italian hospital and teams with a doctor he hopes will help
him recover his memories and prevent a the release of a deadly plague upon the
world.
For both Howard and Hanks, Inferno is their third time
playing in the franchise based on Brown's series of bestselling novels. Actor and
director previously collaborated on The Da Vinci Code, and Angels & Demons.
Opening on October 12, 2016, Inferno also stars
Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan, Ben Foster, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.
