Paramount Pictures has
released three new TV spots for the latest big screen rendering of author Lee
Wallace's 1880 biblical epic novel Ben-Hur.
Directed by Kazakhstan
filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, Ben-Hur follows the story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack
Huston), a prince falsely accused of
treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell). Stripped of his title,
separated from his family and of the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is
sent into slavery. After years of working at sea, Judah returns home to
seek revenge, but finds redemption.
Opening in
theaters on August 12, Ben-Hur also stars Pilou Asbaek, Morgan Freeman, Moises Arias, Ayelet Zurer,
and Rodrigo Santoro.
