Welsh actor Julian
Lewis Jones has landed a mystery role in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman v
Superman: Dawn of Justice follow-up Justice League.
"I’m not allowed to say yet what part I play," Jones told WalesOnline, "but
let’s just say I’ve a role in what will likely be the most expensive film ever
made."
In the U.K. the 48-year-old actor is best known for
appearing on the spy drama series Spooks, the historical drama The Tudors, and
the comedy drama Stella. Elsewhere, the actor is perhaps best known for playing
Etienne Feyder, the head of Nelson Mandela's security in Clint Eastwoods'
Invictus. Jones also appeared in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty, and starred opposite
Channing Tatum in The Eagle.
"Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s
selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince,
to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly
to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened
threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of
heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be
too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions."
Opening in theaters on
November 17, Justice League also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot,
Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, J.K. Simmons, and Amber Heard
