British actor Tom
Felton is joining the third season of the superhero action drama The Flash in a
regular role.
The Harry Potter alum
will play a new character named Julian Dorn, Barry's (Grant Gustin) fellow CSI
at Central Police Department who has deduced there is more to Barry than meets
the eye.
There isn't any known
counterpart to Dorn in the DC Comics, so one hypothesis is that he could be the
"Barry" in this new Flashpoint timeline that Barry created after
saving his mother Nora in the past thus altering the present, where we assume
he no longer is the Flash.
For Felton, The Flash
won't be his first television role. Since starring in all the Harry Potter
films, the actor has appeared on Murder in the First, Labyrinth, and Full
Circle.
The Flash returns
Tuesday, October 4 on The CW.
