Paramount
Pictures has released a series of new images from Justin Lin's ("The Fast and
the Furious") Star Trek Beyond that includes four new promotional stills and two new
behind-the-scenes pictures featuring some of the cast and crew at work on the next
installment in the Star Trek film franchise.
Created by Gene
Roddenberry and reintroduced by J.J. Abrams in 2009, Star Trek Beyond sees the
Enterprise crew exploring the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they
encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation
stands for to the test.
Opening in theaters on July
22, Star Trek Beyond stars Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana,
Chris Pine, Sofia Boutella, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Shohreh
Aghdasloo, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Deep Roy, and Joe Taslim.
