20th Century Fox has released four
new character posters for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse featuring Death,
Pestilence, Famine, and War, the Four Horsemen that Apocalypse will use to bring
down terror and death to those he deems worthless (humans) or sees as threats (X-Men).
The Horsemen are Storm
(Alexander Shipp), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and Angel/
Archangel (Ben Hardy).
Opening in theaters on May 27,
X-Men: Apocalypse also stars James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Lawrence,
Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Tye Sheridan, Sophie
Turner, Lana Candor, Kodi Smit-McPhee,
Josh Helman, and Tómas Lemarquis.
Since the dawn of
civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most
powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other
mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of
years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of
powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to
cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the
fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help
of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their
greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
