AMC has released a series of
new images for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's Preacher TV series featuring
Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Tulip O'Hare, Joseph Gilgun as Cassidy,
and Tom Brooke and Anatol Yusef as Fiore and DeBlanc, respectively, the two
Adelphi angels sent to Earth to retrieve Genesis.
Based on a '90s Vertigo Comics
series of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher follows Custer (Cooper), a conflicted preacher in a
small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity
that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his
ex-girlfriend, Tulip O'Hare (Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph
Gilgun) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.
Premiering Sunday, May 22
after the midseason finale of Fear the Walking Dead, Preacher also stars Ian
Colletti, W. Earl Brown, Elizabeth Perkins, Jackie Earl Haley, Lucy Griffiths,
Jamie Anne Allman, Derek Wilson.
