
Prison Break alum Amaury Nolasco has confirmed via social media that he has signed on to reprise his role as Fernando Sucre in Fox's planned event series, which is set to begin production next month in Vancouver.
Nolasco's announcement
sees him joining returning cast members Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and
Sarah Wayne Callies, as well as newcomers Rick Yune, Augustus Prew, and Steve
Mouzakis.
The 9-episode follow-up to the 2005 hit series
picks up after Michael's (Miller) apparent death with Sara (Callies) raising
their child with her new husband played by Mark Feuerstein. But, when rumors
surface implying that Michael could still be alive, she enlists the help of Lincoln
(Purcell) to plan the biggest prison escape ever.
Fellow Prison Break alum Robert Knepper, Paul
Adelstein, and Rockmond Dunbar are in still in negotiations to reprise their
roles as T-Bag, Paul Kellerman, and C-Note, respectively.
Nolasco's recent
credits include a co-starring role on NBC's comedy Telenovela.
