Clive Standen has landed the lead role in NBC's
upcoming prequel series to Taken, the action franchise starring Liam Neeson.
The straight-to-series drama is a modern-day prequel
that chronicles how the young Bryan Mills used his special set of skills, not
to save his daughter or wife, but as a black ops agent in the elite Emergency
Covert Action Team.
In addition to his role as Rollo in Vikings, Standen's
credits also include Robin Hood (TV), Camelot (TV), and Everest (movie).
Taken is a co-production between Universal TV and
Europa Corp TV, and it is their most recent property to be adapted to TV
following Le Femme Nikita and Transporter.
