Back in September of last year, Vin Diesel announced that the plan for Fast & Furious franchise was for it to end with a trilogy. The actor and producer of the successful film series didn't go into details, probably because matters were still being discussed with Universal. Well apparently, that is not the case anymore.
Diesel has confirmed
that Fast & Furious 9 and Fast & Furious 10 are officially happening and
that they will arrive in April 19, 2019, and April 2, 2021, respectively.
The franchise has
been very successful thus far, with the highest grossing installment, 2015's Furious
7 grossing over $1,5 billion worldwide.
Straight Outta
Compton director F. Gary Gray is attached to direct Fast 8, which has been
scheduled to come out on April 14, 2017.
