In addition to the Damage Control, ABC has announced
that they will be developing a new comedy based on an existing Marvel Comics
property.
The news came at the recent 2016 TCA's (Television
Critics Association) press tour, when speaking to IGN, ABC Entertainment Group
President Paul Lee revealed that they pursuing a second Marvel comedy in addition
to the above-mentioned Damage Control, and while he didn't revealed the show's
title and source material, he did point out that he wishes for it to stay at
ABC.
"We definitely want to do Marvel comedies as well
as dramas and of course, as you know, we supply lots of dramas to Netflix."
As for Damage Control, Lee said that the single camera
work place comedy about the cleaning crew that mops up after a superheroes is
coming out this season.
ABC already airs Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and
Agent Carter, and they have announced a pilot order for the S.H.I.E.L.D.
spinoff, Marvel's Most Wanted, and a mystery project from 12 Years A Slave
writer John Ridley.
