Academy
Award winning actress Cate Blanchett hasn't been cast in Marvel's Thor:
Ragnarok and yet, rumors are already coming out about what her supposedly villainous role could be.
According
to Geek.com, Blanchett who I repeat hasn't been cast yet, is set to play Hela,
the Asgardian goddess of Death and ruler of Hel and Niffleheim, and Loki's
daughter with a giantess called Angerboda.
In Thor: Ragnarok,
Hela and Loki will have set their plan well in motion by the time Thor gets
wise to what’s going on. Hela ends up creating the incident to Thor’s
journey in the film. According to our sources, when Thor confronts Hela, things
do not go well. Not only does she banish Thor from Asgard, but she destroys Mjolnir!
We had heard that perhaps Ragnarok would include the appearance
of the Valkyries so maybe this is the connection. The Valkyries escort those
who have died with honor to Valhalla.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, 2017.
