British actor Benedict Wong has been
cast as Wong in Marvel's Doctor Strange where he will star opposite Benedict
Cumberbatch in the titular role.
Wong (character) is Doctor Strange's
friend, assistant, and manservant. Wong was brought to the Ancient One when he
was just four, who trained him in magic and martial arts, in which he excels.
Wong (actor) has credits in many
known projects such as The IT Crowd, Sunshine, Spy Game, Prometheus, Moon,
Netflix's Marco Polo, and most recently The Martian.
Opening on November 4, 2016 Doctor Strange also stars Tilda
Swinton as The Ancient One, Rachel McAdams
as Night Nurse, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Michael Stuhlbarg
as Nicodemus West, Mads Mikkelsen as the yet unknown but confirmed main
villain, and Amy Landecker.
