Fresh of the success
of The Visit, M. Night Shyamalan returns to TV with the reboot of the iconic anthology
horror show, Tales From The Crypt.
The new show will be
part of a new horror block TNT is putting together, which will include short
and long-form content that Shyamalan will oversee.
"To be
part of such a beloved brand like Tales From the Crypt, something I grew up
watching, and to also have the chance to push the boundaries of genre
television as a whole, is an inspiring opportunity that I can’t wait to dive
into," Shyamalan says.
Shyamalan's previous TV effort was
the well received mystery-thriller Wayward Pines over at Fox.
Tales From The Crypt
was based on the 1950s EC Comics series created by William Gaines. The new show
will premiere this fall.
