Johnathon Schaech Cast As Jonah Hex In Legends of Tomorrow

We knew he was coming, and now The CW has announced who is playing him. The network has revealed that Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do, Ray Donovan) will be playing DC's gun-slinging anti-hero, Jonah Hex in Legends of Tomorrow, where he joins an already packed screen that includes Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Caity Lotz (White Canary), Brandon Routh (Atom), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Victor Garber and Franz Drameh (Firestorm), Dominic Purcell (Heatwave), Falk Hentschel (Hawkman), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl), and Casper Crump (Vandal Savage).

"A true legend of the Old West, a morally ambiguous gunslinger with a penchant for danger. Surprisingly, he knows a thing or two about time travel and the future, but is at home in the Wild West. He’s been battling outlaws and gangs for awhile now, and advises the team to be extra careful when they arrive in the small town of Salvation," reads the official description of the character.

Jonah Hex will be introduced in the eleventh episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and there is a possibility that he may end up becoming a recurring character.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow will premiere Thursday, January 21 on The CW.
