By now,
it has become apparent that Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple character is the
glue that binds Marvel's Netflix universe together. Think of her as S.H.I.E.L.D.
in the Avengers universe, not that she is a secret agent keeping an eye out and
or recruiting special people, but like the secret organization, she is the
common thread that connects all heroes.
For
her next appearance, Temple joins Power Man Luke Cage, and at the recent Television
Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Luke Cage star Mike Coulter teased how
his character's relationship with Temple will be in the show.
"Luke
Cage does take place up town. It's a different backdrop. How they get her
uptown will be very unique, and you'll see it makes sense," he told IGN. "It's
seamless. We're in the same city. She knows of me, obviously, from a personal
standpoint, but it'll be interesting to see because she will deal with me in a
different way than she dealt with Matt Murdock. Matt Murdock's character's
completely different from mine."
In Daredevil,
Dawson's character had significant role to play in the life of the masked
vigilante, while in Jessica Jones she wasn't has important. So how much of
Claire Temple can we expect to see in Luke Cage?
"She's
going to serve a very significant part of the Luke Cage story. Not
overwhelmingly so, but you will definitely be satisfied with the amount of
screen time you see. ... I can't speak to episode count, but you're
definitely going to see her. She's definitely going to be someone that's going
to have a large storyline and help out a lot."
While
we wait see Claire Temple in Luke Cage, which premieres later in 2016, she will
appear in the second season of Daredevil, which debuts on March 18.
