I've got to be
honest, there are one or two surprises, but perhaps the biggest of them all is
also the first award on the list. Mad Max: Fury Road was an outstanding popcorn
movie, with eye-popping visuals, and great story sprinkled with the occasional socially
relevant moment, but should it have won Best Film? Probably not. I feel that
Mad Max is more of a best director than best film type of situation, but things
tend to be subjective, so to each his own.
As for
Stallone, no it isn't a fluke, and I have a feeling this will be the beginning of
an awards campaign for the actor.
What do you think?
