The first trailer for Jonás Cuarón's second feature
film, Desierto, has landed online. The suspense-thriller follows the aptly
named Moises (Gael García Bernal) who in an attempt to seek
a better life ends up having to fight for it when on his journey he crosses paths with Sam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante that
patrols the U.S.-Mexican border.
Alfonso Cuarón produced Desierto, which Jonás co-wrote
with Mateo Garcia, who starred in Jonás debut feature, Año uña.
Desierto opens on March 4, 2016, and also stars
Alondra Hidalgo, Diego Cataño, Marco Pérez. Oscar Fores, and David Lorenzo.
