Remember when
Dan Brown was everywhere and Ron Howard directed the unremarkable The Da Vinci
Code and the even less memorable Angels & Demons? If yes than you are in
luck, because they are back with Inferno.
Based on
Brown's novel of the same name, this new film by Howard follows once again the adventures
of the dashing symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) who teams up with a
doctor he hopes will help
him recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a plague upon the
world.
Opening
on October 14, 2016, Inferno also stars Felicity Jones, Omar Sy, Irrfan Khan,
Ben Foster, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.
Inferno continues the Harvard symbologist’s adventures on
screen: when Robert Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he
teams up with Sienna Brooks, a doctor he hopes will help him recover his
memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to
Dante’s “Inferno.”
