With more and more
reports coming out, even my skepticism that Warner Bros. is actually moving
forward with Justice League Dark is slowly fading away. After a string of
rumors concerning casting choices and apparent deals, a list of potential directors
has apparently now leaked online.
According to JoBlo,
Fede Alvarez and directing duo Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are being
eyed for the project that Guillermo del Toro wrote and was once set to direct before
passing for the opportunity to helm the Pacific Rim sequel, which ironically is
now on a shelve gathering dust. Toro's script is apparently one of the main
reasons why Warner is still pursuing the project.
All three directors
have a horror and thriller background and are still relative newcomers. Alvarez'
biggest project so far was the Evil Dead remake in 2013, while the duo's was
the international crime thriller Big Bad Wolves also in 2013.
