Masterpiece PBS has
released a new trailer for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, the upcoming special
episode that places Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch), Watson (Martin Freeman),
and the rest of the usual cast back into its Victorian roots like Sir. Arthur
Conan Doyle first wrote them.
BBC One meanwhile
announced that the episode will air on January 1, 2016 in the U.K. and U.S.,
and that the forthcoming fourth season of the show will start shooting next
Spring.

and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) return
as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in the acclaimed modern retelling of Arthur
Conan Doyle’s classic stories. But now our heroes find themselves in 1890s
London. Beloved characters Mary Morstan (played by Amanda Abbington), Inspector
Lestrade (Rupert Graves) and Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs) also turn up at 221b
Baker Street.”
