Caprica, Friday Night Lights,
The Good Wife, and Hart of Dixie actor Scott Porter has joined Cinemax's
upcoming 10-episode series based on The
Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta's Skybound
and Image Comics comic book series, Outcast.
Porter will play Donnie Hamel, "an amiable and
engaging type-A former jock whose work returns him home to Rome, West Virginia.
There he crosses paths with Megan Holter and a more sinister side of Donnie is
revealed."
In Outcast, Kyle
Barnes (Patrick Fugit) has been plagued by demonic possession all his life and
now he needs answers. Unfortunately, what he uncovers along the way could bring
about the end of life on Earth as we know it.
Premiering in 2016, Outcast also stars Reg E. Cathy, Philip Glenister,
Julia Crockett, Gabriel Denman, David Denman, Melinda McGraw, Grace Zabriskie, Catherine Dent, Lee
Tergesen, Brent Spiner, Gabriel Bateman, and Wrenn Schmidt.
Porter also voiced
Nightwing in Batman: Arkham Knight, and Cyclops in both dubbed versions of the X-Men
and Wolverine Japanese shows.
