20th Century Fox and
Chernin Entertainment have begun developing a big screen adaptation of Capcom's
popular and much beloved video game franchise, Mega Man, created by Akira
Kitamura in 1987.
Mega Man, or Rockman (Japan),
was an android lab assistant built by Dr. Light, until he was converted into a
battle robot to defend the world from the evil Dr. Wily and his deadly
creations.
We still have yet to see
a good adaptation of a video game, so sorry if I'm not jumping up and down from
excitement but caution is imperative when dealing with these kinds of projects.
David Ready and
Michael Finfer are overseeing for Chernin, while Mike Ireland and Ryan Horrigan
are managing for Fox.
