Vanessa A. Williams has
joined the second season of The Flash on The CW, where she will play the matriarch
of the West family, and though it is unclear when she will make her debut, or
what her name will be, Variety describes the character as "Joe West's wife",
which makes me believe that the character will appear in some sort of flashback
situation since she wasn't seen during last season events.
Williams is best known for
her work on New Jack City, Melrose Place, and Candyman, where she starred
opposite Tony Todd, who as recently cast as Zoom in the superhero series.
