Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok screenwriter Christopher
Yost has the power, and he will bring it to the Sony Pictures and Escape
Artists' reboot of Masters of the Universe. Yost will be working on the
previous script penned by Terry Rossio and Jeff Wadlow, which followed the
adventures of Prince Adam on the planet of Eternia.
He-Man will mark the fourth feature film project Yost
has been involved in after more than a decade of writing TV shows and straight
to DVD movies like X-Men: Evolution, The Batman, Fantastic Four: World's
Greatest Heroes, TMNT, Hulk Vs., Wolverine and the X-Men, The Avengers: Earth's
Mightiest Heroes, and more. Besides the two Thor movies and He-Man, Yost also has
script credit on the upcoming Max Steel.
Both studios are currently looking for a director to
replace Jon M. Chu, who left the project to go on to direct Jem and the Holograms.
